– Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Tutor Dev lessons will be online and he will teach using the application, Zoom.
– A virtual whiteboard is shared with the student where Dev will write notes and questions for the student to practise and solve.
– At the end of each lesson, the notes from the lesson will be saved as a pdf file and sent by email to the parent.
– The homework will be sent also by email which will contain questions based on the lesson delivered.
– Dev provides a progress update to parents each quarter and suggests areas within the course that the student should practice further.
– Key Stage 3, GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics – Tutor Dev uses identical books to those used by top independent schools to teach these three courses. He primarily uses the CGP textbooks to teach the syllabus and has a large bank of past papers for the GCSE and IGCSE courses.
Initial assessment
– Students preparing for 11+ entrance exams will be given an initial assessment which will take approximately 90 minutes to complete. This will give Tutor Dev an indication of the student’s strengths and weaknesses.
Success rate
– Tutor Dev can determine the likelihood of a student passing the entrance exams using results from homework assignments, sample papers, past papers, mock exams and comparisons with previous students’ results.
Schools
– Tutor Dev advises parents on school choices that should be considered for 7+, 11+ and 13+ entry.
– Please note that Tutor Dev can prepare students for entrance exams at other independent and grammar schools outside of his local area such as Dulwich College, Latymer Upper School, Perse School, Mill Hill County High School, St Paul’s School, Westminster School and the Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex (CSSE). This includes King Edward VI School, Colchester County High School for Girls, Colchester Royal Grammar School, Southend High School and Westcliff High School.
Interviews
– Tutor Dev conducts mock interviews and feedback for students who have successfully passed the entrance exams and been invited for an interview at independent schools.

– Lessons cancelled with 48+ hours notice: No charge incurred and every effort will be made to reschedule your lesson(s).
– Lessons cancelled with 24-48 hours notice: A charge of 50% of the applicable rate for a student taking one-to-one sessions or group lessons.
– Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice: A full fee will be applied for the applicable one-to-one rate and £50 for those attending group lessons.
